P. Max is a priest of the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince for several years responsible for the management of the Office for Catholic Education of the Archdiocese. He is also a pastor in the town of Gressier, which lies southwest of Port-au-Prince. The earthquake has seriously affected P. Max. Several family members were buried (such as his parsonage) and were killed. The work of his last years (the new constructed school in his parish, which also served as a model school, the affiliated Lehererausbildungsstätte there who have just completed church, the rectory, his office in Port-au-Prince) was destroyed within seconds. P. Max himself was also buried at first and was injured rescued with a broken femur.
