So etwas nennt man wohl Arbeitstitel, wenigstens bei dem ist es geblieben. Vor etlichen Wochen fiel mein Blick auf den alten Wälzer von Jules Verne, während zeitgleich Sitarklänge von Ravi Shankar an mein Ohr drangen, partout hatte ich eine passende Idee, nämlich die Reise des Phileas Fogg musikalisch work up.
As always, I am hopelessly bogged down in planning, first I liked the itinerary does not, there were just too few countries. I also made a bet with anyone for anything, I must not tire out so. Then I was seized with the ambition and I have a world map, though a world tour, then by many nations as possible, because you do see loose fitting pieces together 80.
Locker, yes. Fifteen I had already, as I was not out of Scandinavia. The High North is holding a little musical hobby, like Africa, but in order to get there at all I had to pass through once the Western Europe.
Long story short: There are at the end 75 countries now and over 240 songs with a net running time of just over 16 hours. I have tried a little (pop) cultural diversity to represent the country without too much digression into Weltmusikgefilde. The selected pieces are sung almost exclusively in the local language, covering all sorts of styles, so there is not just folklore, it is supposed to also entertain.
For the best part is, you can of my trip, follow the finger at the map and with the ears on the radio, probably on 6 evenings. Look forward to rock, blues, reggae, folk, metal, chanson, hip-hop , Country etc.
Die erste Folge startet am kommenden Sonntag, 16.Januar 2011 um 20:30 Uhr , die zweite folgt den Sonntag darauf um die gleiche Zeit, weitere Termine werden hier und im Radioforum rechtzeitig bekannt gegeben. Dort findet ihr auch Links zu den mp3 und ogg Streams sowie das aktuelle Programm.
Beginnen werde ich in Schweden, um dann durch Europa zu reisen, die afrikanische Westküste herunter und den amerikanischen Kontinent hinauf und so weiter und so fort, bis ich nach etwa sechs oder sieben Sendungen am Endpunkt Finnland angekommen bin. Dabei wird es sicher auch mal ungewohnte Klänge zu hören geben, um so mehr freue ich mich auf neugierige Hörer.
